Scholarship Benefiting Graduating Senior Students at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center
The Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation Scholarship is merit based scholarship that is exclusively being offered to students at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center (Dallas) that have a desire to work in the law enforcement profession as police officers. This scholarship was created in honor of the police officers that have "fallen" in the line of duty and seeks to evaluate students' understanding of the current policing environment, culture and perspectives on improving community relations. Each year, two (2) students will be awarded a $500 scholarship based on their merit achievements and understanding of the policing profession.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be graduating seniors at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center.

Scholarship Conditions

The two (2) scholarship awardees will receive $500 to be used towards their academic expenses at any Texas state-funded community college or university. The scholarships may be used to supplement benefits from the college or university a student plans to attend. Students may use the scholarship to cover the costs of tuition, fees, books, room and board, computers, health insurance, study abroad and other college-related expenses.

Review Process

A holistic review process will be used to determine the winner of the scholarship. The reviewers will evaluate: the students' community service activities, overall academic progress throughout their (4) years of high school based on their transcripts, and the quality of the essay responses.
